Colin Dean and his crew of brass musicians found a major bug in the Gigslinger system last weekend, which caused an issue with their schedule. I found the issue and changed the logic in the system this morning, so major kudos to them for sticking around with Gigslinger, and helping to make the system better!

Thank you Brass Mash.

Out of beta soon?

Well, not for another few months, but we’re making good progress!

Big changes to the Events section

This last week I finished the Events section which behaves just like Gigs. Musicians will get a text message asking if they can do the date. The bandleader will see the color-coded responses, be able to reply to musicians, confirm the event, change musician lineups on the fly, and all the other great features that the Gigs section offers.

Private Events

At Paul Irving’s request I’ve added a ‘private’ checkbox so private party gigs won’t show details in the public calendar – it will say ‘Private Event’ and have the date & time.

See how a private event listing looks on the Tipsy Gypsies public page.

Future Plans:

  • Audio from Bandcamp, Soundcloud, or Spotify on Band public profile page
Venue account logins to book bands directly
  • Musician logins to change their availabilities and add messages
  • Import / Export Events to Google Calendar
  • And much more!

What features do you need?
Let me know – feedback is welcome.
